Annual Membership Dinner
The Annual Dinner will take place this Saturday December 9, starting from
6 PM at the boathouse. Dan and Briant, Nereid's club chefs, have promised
to do even better than last year, when we had a roast pig, among other
delicacies.
At the dinner we will have the boat naming ceremony for our new Wintech
4x. We will also announce the winners of the Club Awards for the year.
Everyone should have received an Evite and if you plan to attend, you
should have rsvp'ed by now. The cost will be the same as last year, $35
per person, to be paid at the door.

Winter training at Nereid
The Officers are discussing setting up an official winter training program
at the club. This would consist of erging classes and calisthenics and/or
free weights. More information to follow.
We have ordered new electronic controllers for Nereid's ergs, because many
of the old ones stopped working. Those will arrive very soon. Members are
free to erg in the boat bays. Erging will probably not be allowed upstairs
to avoid damage to the floor and walls.

Nereid Masters Yahoo group
We have created a Yahoo group where Nereid members can post questions to
other members, post photos and classified ads, organize for regattas, find
others to row with, etc. To register, send a blank email to
nereidmasters-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or email
nereidpres@hotmail.com. The group currently has 23 members.

is interesting to other Nereids, please send a few sentences to Alice
Matthews at
nereidsec@hotmail.com. The deadline for submission is Thursday
night. Your contribution will be highly appreciated.
